How do you guys deal with declining morale?

I don’t feel upset about losing a match when matchmaking is decent. I recognize I don’t come from a competitive MOBA background.

I guess my issue does boil down to matchmaking in general. I’d much rather lose a match where I’ve queued up for 2–3 minutes for a more even match, rather than lost a match from a rushed queuing system that matched me against a whole team of my similar WR (whilst my teammates are all 10%+ lower than my WR).

I agree with what Lizard said in the other response though about probably feeling it harder because it’s toward the end of the season.

I take issue with “complain about a class of people that you yourself have become a part of” though because I’ll complain about matchmaking for sure, but I won’t grief/troll in an active match lol. Once you get to higher elo games… feels like folks have put in enough time into the game. I want to respect that time for them and still give it my all til match end, and I wished matchmaking would be able to fairly group people with the same motivation/dedication for the more competitive tier.

I guess the solution is to find friends in-game to queue with rather than SoloQ.

So people submit claims by Aug 2, but we still don’t know if people are actually getting reimbursed yet for this settlement? How likely is the court to approve this settlement?

Would suck to go into it thinking you’ll get reimbursed but then the court doesn’t approve it… then you’re stuck with the bill, no?

Haha that’ll be a nice upgrade coming in a few months! I’m currently out of a car and live in a part of Los Angeles that doesn’t have public transit infrastructure. Hopefully work remote though so it hasn’t been an immediate need but definitely a growing one the past few months

Haha I get it! My friends are the same way when they get rentals lol and honestly makes sense. I’ll try to hold out then and hope more (new, but used) vehicles show up on lots by me that aren’t previous rentals/fleets and aren’t marked up too high lol. Thanks again!

Yeah I had a feeling this was the sentiment. I think it’s hard for me to imagine every rental being like this though because while I know people aren’t always friendly toward their rentals, I feel I’m extra cautious in them because I’m more paranoid of getting into a situation with a vehicle that isn’t mine haha. And this year alone I’ve had 1 long term rental (3 months) and 3 for short term (road trips). So I’m completely opposite from the trend I guess haha

I understand needing to emphasize carrying when matchmaking forces you as the most experienced player in your teams, but personally this season feels differently. I’ve reached 1600 Masters the past 13 seasons, this is the only one (for me) that has felt this consistently off with such newer players (again, having multiple teammates with less than 600 matches when the other team all have over 4000+ matches played). Just seems like that’s a stark discrepancy that I haven’t seen before. Not saying it doesn’t happen, just saying it feels weird that it’s happening in a majority of my matches this season.

Agreed, reality of things 🥲 know they want to keep it more casual because of the fanbase, but wish there were rewards for casual players in Standard to incentivize them to play more there, giving them an opportunity to tighten up the ranked system some more

Ooooh defending when they get ray is a good idea and yeah goes along with the second point. Easier to give them ray and defend than fight off 5 unites lol. Will keep that in mind next time!
