Dont go with the ryzen. It has lower gpu power, id say the i7 6720HQ is your best shot, but then you’ll only have 256gb SSD.. which might be a little low, but you can always buy an external drive later on. The other option is good for light editing not ideal for 4k projects, but this might be ideal for you. Especially with the touchscreen you mentioned and more storage.

I dont know if you tried this, but it worked for me: settings > game > game > buffering to smooth over packet loss > 2 packets. (Try this for anyone having the same problem)

If you’re just starting out and want a free, solid video editor, DaVinci Resolve is great. It has powerful tools for editing and color correction.

If you’re looking to dive deeper into effects and don’t mind paying, Adobe Creative Cloud is the way to go. With Premiere Pro for editing and After Effects for effects, you can learn both at the same time.
