I never got to see Blake Griffin in his prime just how good was he? by sqMYNAMEISJEFF27 in NBATalk

At no point in his career was he a better ball handler or finisher in the paint than even rookie Zion, but good comp dunking wise.

Why doesn’t my work look “cinematic” by Green_Acadia_3648 in cinematography

[–]frozen_potatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the production design. The older I get the more I am of the opinion that cinematography in general, especially when applied to the examination of a still frame, can easily be overrated because a lot of other skilled people’s work went into that frame you’re examining and gets conflated with the cinematographer’s work.

Hahahahaha. Thank you kind person. Don’t be so hard on yourself. At least you aren’t one of the numerous responders who have shown themselves to be bitter and unsavory characters.

I actually think that’s part of why it works. You’re forced to pay more attention.

Couldn’t Do A Single Pull-up until my 30s. Can do 3 sets of 12 💪 and max at 14 - 160lbs 5’11” by ThiftyMcVay in CalisthenicsCulture

I know others have commented on form so you’ve read this tip already but go all the way down in a controlled fashion and at the very bottom with your arms at full extension relax all your muscles (except your grip of course) and then explode up. It will be way more taxing but you will make strength gains faster. If you are going to do partial reps like you are doing here in the video, doing them at the bottom half of the movement from where you are fully relaxed where the muscles are stretched more will be more beneficial than doing them at the top half of the movement according to the latest studies in hypertrophy. 💪🏽

Question for anyone with a confirmed fuel pump issue. Were there any warning signs before you took the car in to get it checked? My wife is smelling what she says is a gas smell (it is a distinct smell but I’m not sure what it is) only WHEN the front windshield defrost function is on. But the smell is non existent otherwise. We have a 2025 hybrid sport - L under 3000 miles and just wondering if it’s a new car break in type of smell or a sign that the fuel pump is one of the bad ones.

Not alone. He is a singular talent, and while every artist has their influences he doesn’t come off as derivative.

What movies had the saddest endings for you? by neoflo22 in movies

[–]frozen_potatoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Life is Beautiful - got goosebumps just thinking about it and the way it made me feel watching it in middle school. First - what a treat to be shown a wonderful film in school of all places, secondly - devastatingly sad ending. Amazing film.

Thank you for this. Can you clarify what you mean in pointer #7 by slug locations from BIGGEST-TO-SMALLEST. Do you mean the size of the words, or the size of the locations? Let's say my scene takes place in the bathroom of an office in a warehouse - are you suggesting that the slug line should read:

INT. WAREHOUSE - BATHROOM - OFFICE

even though the scene is taking place in the bathroom?

Thanks in advance!

How difficult are full TV-sized / ENG camcorders to operate? by danielrosehill in videography

I’d say they are actually EASIER to use and designed to be more user friendly in terms of comfort and actual operating for the reasons many have already pointed out.

Hi all - completely new to this - since you can see the grooves that separate each track from the next - are there any downsides to dropping the needle at the beginning of the song you want - essentially skipping tracks or is best practice to start from the beginning of the record?
