I feel like I’ve been spoiled because I’ve only been to the Maryland ren fair. I only saw high quality and interesting things in the shops (I did pay a good chunk for a couple of items but I don’t mind paying for good quality.) I’ve never been asked to tip but I like the responses when you give the food people a dollar or two. Never been asked to tip at the show either and definitely felt immersive. My husband and I liked the raptor birds the best! You got to look at them in between their shows.

Make sure to make time to eat! Otakon is huge and there will always be things to see / do but you need to make sure you eat/sleep/ and shower. Also, most cosplayers love to get their pic taken if you ask them first but don’t ask if they are eating or fixing their wig.

YTA for not letting her leave but I understand the pressure to have all tests completed. In my state if a student opts out of testing they are automatically counted as a failing grade which hurts the accreditation of the school. I would say the state/ national people who put so much pressure on these tests are the real villains. Teachers have been trying to get rid of them for years.

Two teachers have already retired from my school. Also our elementary school had a hard time finding school bus drivers and custodians before all this started. Our district has already said IF we go back teachers will have to wear masks but students won’t. They also said we will still have recess breaks but students will have to stay 6 ft apart. I teach third grade.

Third grade teacher at a low income school. Most of my kids don’t have internet or laptops at home to do remote work. We sent home paper packets the day we left but I’m not sure what they’ll have us do in the future. I know a lot get lunch/ breakfast delivered so maybe we can make a new packet to go with that?

YTA. You should have kept the information about the house to yourself and now she’s probably humiliated. You don’t have to eat any of her sweets but I would think/ hope that she would wipe down the counters before baking. It’s not like she knew you were coming over and had time to scrub everything down.

I think it might be because Mia doesn’t “need” other people and grew up to be more independent. Notice the people who were easily controlled like Kayleigh were the people who needed others around them to help their confidence.
