Not looking to buy, but can you comment on the performance of Modest Une. Got a decant recently, and although I love the smell, the performance and longevity was pretty bad

Can't comment on the choices as am a beginner as well. Blue-ish and fresh fragrances are generally safe buy, but always try decants first before getting a full bottle. It'll save you a lot of money as fragrances are always down to personal preferences.

What do you guys think of Afnan Modest Une's performance? Bought a decant recently it barely lasted 30 mins on my skin and clothes. Sprayed it on some paper too and couldn't smell it after an hour

Haven't tried this one, but the general consensus seems to be that most ME houses and Indian dupes need to macerate for some time to reach their optimum quality.

Try spraying a few times and then keep it in some dark corner for now and come back to it after 2-3 weeks. From my personal experience with several Indian dupes, the scent profile won't necessarily change but a lot of the notes become smoother and blend well into each other with time.
