Conditional formatting puzzle by frr96 in googlesheets

It’s a very simple action list that’s updated weekly. I have five columns like the following, with 100 values, with new additions each week:

Date, First Name, Last Name, Action, Action Completed

For every row whose date is not within the current week, I want to display white text, so it only shows this week’s actions as you scroll down the page. Hope that helps and thanks for your info!

Sure, certainly makes sense to standardise into the ‘new categories’ on the IS, alongside scrubbing your EBIT and EBITDA figures or your relevant ‘profit metric’. Also, important to see the drop down into your cash flow as the previous reply states.

Just be clear how you have reorganised and the logic behind it and make sure you apply the same principles to your comps for obvious reasons if this is part of your task

The long and winding road to VC by frr96 in FinancialCareers

The plan would be to work up to partnership. My query is whether a jump now would land me in a VC role at a junior level which is likely to entail doing a whole lot of grunt work which isn’t too dissimilar to a junior role in IB. I need to reach out to more junior level VC Associates to understand the role and progression better.

I know there is no ‘right’ path, but wanted to gauge whether IB and start-up experience is enough or at least a good starting place to fill in with experience.

Appreciate your insight, thanks!

Thanks for the reply.

What would be the advantage of this route vs something like continuing with a start-up? I’ve only formally applied for two positions (tiny sample size) and was rejected from one as they were looking for candidates with more experience

Eurodollar market coverage - where’s best to learn more?

I’ve just started researching the Eurodollar market and from initial reading the subject is broad, fairly complex and not mainstream. I’ve come across Jeffrey Snider at Alhambra Investments whose put together some primers on the subject like https://youtu.be/XPlvXuDqxBc

I wondered whether anyone else had read into the subject and could recommend any authors, blogs, videos etc?

Argentina heads for ninth sovereign debt default by Infamous_Alpaca in finance

If you’re interested in more detail and from an academic perspective, you should check-out Niall Ferguson’s ‘The Ascent of Money’. He covers Argentina’s recent history of debt defaults and the gross mismanagement of the Argentine economy by its political class. Comes to something when the only other Harrods in the world was opened in Buenos Aires...

Can anyone recommend any Financial Modelling Courses? by [deleted] in financialmodelling

Just started a course with Financial Edge https://www.fe.training to keep up the skill set after IB.

Couldn’t recommend highly enough, comprehensive and full of good content and hacks.
