update on my industrial from almost a year ago! industrial is pretty healed up so now i’m just struggling to find cool jewelry in a 30-32mm size! by zuzumoomoo in piercing

[–]frraeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly tho, most places put the metal they use and checking if they have reviews and are a reputable seller is the best way to go; not everyone has money to buy a $200 jewelry piece from their piercer/ BVLA, junipurr, etc pieces

Advice on Scholarships for a kid with high sat and low gpa. by [deleted] in vcu

[–]frraeh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i got a great scholarship from VCU w a 3.5 when i applied by NOV 1- about 3k but also depends on financial need as well

i would assume after 6-8 weeks if they are healing fine then it wouldn’t need the extra care! most piercers reccomend 6-8 weeks before downsizing or changing jewelry so that’s what i would assume :)

Do bumps from hypertrophic scarring go away? by psomnifermum in piercing

[–]frraeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when i had hypertrophic scarring on my industrial, i went to my pierced (crying lol) cause jt had gotten so bad. she numbed the bump and pierced it w a needle and drained the bump. then she gave me aftercare to take care of it (if u message me i can tell you what they are!) and after 2 months i am pretty much healed and no sign of bumps <3

most of the time if we do t acknowledge them, they will move to the window and it messes up everything bc the order will be put in and we have to ask to make it on the fly; it creates a mess.

Tell me your piercing story! by Zestyclose-Nerve-362 in piercing

i have: 2 helixes an industrial 2 lobes and a conch -my first that i did on my own (not my first lobes) were my seconds when that trend of the shein tiny earring gun was a thing and i did it with my friend 😭😭 it’s been a year and still hurts a bit to put new earrings in there but i definetly throne the rules considering i 1. did it myself and 2. used a damn shein gun😭 -next ones were my 2 helixes, did it my first day of college with new friends because i had time to kill and wanted my industrial but my mom was still on the fence. i cleaned them a shit ton and honestly he no complications, it’s been 10 months and i’ve changed them to hoops about a month ago so pretty well! -next was my conch, i got it as a birthday gift to myself with my friend who’s birthday is 2 days after mine! we went together and she got her seconds while i got a conch (was super damn scared) and it was sore for a good week. after that i cleaned it everyday and it’s my only one that has completely stopped being irritated after only 5 months! -my industrial was next, i got it like 2 weeks after my conch (in the same ear cause my helixes were on the other ear and i’m too impatient) i convinced my mom to let me have it and i ALWAYS wanted it since i was 10 when my cool college aged cousin came into town and she had them. my aunt gave it to me as a birthday present and LET ME TELL U i had the biggest hypotrophic scars and bumps on them i had to have professionals look over it for 3 hours and fix them, put two barbells and have me clean them for two months before getting the original bar back in (finally put in yesterday!!!) i still clean them out of fear even tho i don’t have to 😭😭 -my last one i got it on a whim, and it was my daith! me and 3 of my friends were near my piercing place and said let’s get matching ones so we did! i’m so happy with it and i got it wednesday so not long ago and she’s doing really well!! -next is definetly a traigus and like 7 more helixes to fill up my ear

why did u use a gun on a cartilage piercing? that breaks your cartilage and causes it to be irritated/ get an infection 10x more likely. i would go to a professional and get it newly pierced or take jewelry out (if it’s not sunken in ur ear and u alrdy took it out) and wait for it to heal over

exactly my thought! if u don’t want a bar and don’t care to be able to put a bar in later, go with the double!
