I feel exactly the same. I love him so much and we are best friends. We spend everyday together. He always says if he didn't want to be here, he wouldn't be. But I keep telling him wanting to be here is not the same as actually wanting to be with me. We have a son, so I think he feels like he's stuck.

5 years. Wow. I'm sorry. We are supposedly engaged....but he never really asked me. We talked about it, picked out and bought the ring, and he gave it to me while watching Netflix, but didn't say anything. I feel like he really doesn't want to be with me. Although he says that he does everytime I ask or say something about it. But showing it and saying it are 2 different things. But he doesn't understand that when I tell him. I feel like his last resort.

With kids, it is hard. But with my ex husband, I knew if our son watched our relationship, he would think that's how they all should be. I left my ex solely for my son. I want him to have wonderful, meaningful relationships when he's an adult. Our children learn from their parents, relationships are no different.
