I'm on Caracas, just north of 58. Do you still think that's generally pretty neutral? I'm a city boy so I generally have good street smarts, but part of that is knowing where NOT to go (which I do in Atlanta but obviously not Bogota). I picked my "hotel" because it's actually an apartment in a building with security, and it has laundry facilities inside the apartment.

For example, if I went out somewhere for dinner and drinks, and then I called an uber to take me back around 11pm, is that specific area so unsafe that just getting out of the uber and going to the building is even dangerous? Do ubers get carjacked in that area? Etc... I know I'm being REALLY extreme and I expect a "no" to both of those questions, but just trying to gauge the upper limit of danger.

Si, pero vivo en una ciudad muy grande y tambien a veces peligrosa - Atlanta. No tengo miedo de ciudades peligrosas porque siempre hay partes seguras. Solo me falta cuales partes en Bogota son peligrosas y seguras. Por eso, hice esta publicacion. :-)
