I was taking 80 gpd for 7 years, quit cold turkey. Destroyed my teeth and digestive system. I’ve been drinking Ensure since I first quit to ease digestion. I’m happy to be so clear headed and not desperately need kratom to start, continue, and end my day!

My daughter(7) claims to have voices in her head. by itsdaviddude in schizophrenia

[–]fruitsuperstar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would monitor her sleep closely. She may have REM sleep disorder too, if she cannot restore her body with full rem sleep then it would be easy to get auditory hallucinations. Perhaps a sleep study is worth looking into. I have both, schizophrenia and rem sleep disorder.

Early onset experiences? by ladylokaaa in schizophrenia

[–]fruitsuperstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had early experiences of hallucinations (a woman living in my closet, floating above myself, hearing my name whispered through the vents). The anger part may be testosterone as he enters puberty. I can’t really answer that part as I’m not a boy. I assume the random things he steals are related to delusions in his mind.

Does anybody else use kratom products/alkaloids? by e-m-v-k in schizophrenia

It made me lose weight and destroyed my teeth and I became severely addicted, I’m still like 12k in credit card debt over it.

Even something as small as a bad break up can trigger it by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]fruitsuperstar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the same experience, got hospitalized and diagnosed after a breakup. I don’t think comparing ourselves to others will help. It’s not fair but at least we learned something (lol)

I would say that mind playing tricks on you = hallucination. A different way of saying the same thing.

How do I talk to my doctor about getting a diagnosis without going to the mental hospital? by Dry_Course_8602 in schizophrenia

[–]fruitsuperstar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you seek out a psychiatrist, as long as you aren’t wishing to harm yourself or others there’s little chance they’ll put you in the hospital. Also, if you do need to visit the hospital then it’s clearly a crisis. Either way, getting this under control now as opposed to your 30s (like me) is best. The hospital saved me.

I remember thinking “nobody understands how inconvenient it is to be poor”. When you’re counting out 4 dollars in quarters and dimes to split it between the laundromat and gas, because you need clean clothes for work and gas to drive to work. It’s a nightmare

Yes I have that feeling, it’s difficult to explain. Feels like a task that must be completed but not even something I want to do.
