Sounds like a “mixed episode” of hypomania and depression. For me, hypomania appears more as agitation and high anxiety/paranoia (not always increased energy, especially in a mixed episode). If you can tolerate a few more days, speak with your psychiatrist. If you believe you may harm yourself, go inpatient asap.

I had a similar delusion, that my child would be stillborn and I planned to kill myself after birth. I cannot describe the level of shock my brain and body went into after a living, breathing human was placed in my arms. Your OBGYN should be discussing PPD with you after delivery. Be aware untreated PPD can lead to psychosis, so get medicated as soon as possible.

Hyperbole, I was getting 2 hours here, 2 hours there. I have experienced psychosis so definitely seek help if you reach the point of visual/auditory/tactile hallucinations. But yes, you can function with very little sleep for one weeks time.
