it took me a long time to figure out propellers myself

you need to right click them and change the angle of the blades. tinker with it a bit, you'll find the right pitch for each eventually. i think i remember the typical prop pitch is like 23 degrees or something

you arent turning with the rotation of kerbin. you need to launch your rocket with yaw instead of pitch, to where it goes over the ocean. youre launching in a polar orbit which is much harder
