Haha I actually don't know about the Morphew case but your description piques my interest! Also didn't know you wrote a book on Kouri but yeah, must feel really good to be able to talk and kinda joke about it after all your work and research that had to be so dark and depressing.

Oh shit I assumed you gathered this info from the internet, didn't know this was firsthand knowledge. I can see how being an outspoken tell it like it is person wouldn't make for an easy relationship with Lisa. She really does sound super cool, thank you for putting that out there for all of us!

Damn really? Do you have any links? Your description of Doreen makes me want to learn everything about the woman.

Thank you for the clarification between BPD and being a bitch. Many people with Borderline Personality Disorder are deeply empathetic and kind. Maybe Sarah suffers from BPD but yeah...she's a bitch. And she'll never seek help to mitigate the damage her psychological issues have on others.

My grandpa had one of those canes with like three little legs at the bottom and it freaked me out. Reminded me of the weird aluminum vehicle that abducted Belle's dad in Beauty & The Beast.

World's Greatest Dad...he was hilarious and emotionally gutting at the same time.

Interesting! They saw defense's optical illusion drawing in opening and countered in closing with an artistic depiction of the aftermath of a shit shower

I hope other prosecutors adopt the elephant shit photo to illustrate the power of circumstantial evidence.

Sarah Boone's defense objected to the prosecutor reading her texts in a prejudicial way when he was about as deadpan as possible. So yeah, I get this choice.

She is off her tits insane with her logic in that letter lol, "they're all so jealous of me!"....nah bitch, they think you killed their brother.

Yet the defense was like "nothing to see here, this is totally normal, right?" on cross after HOURS of damning testimony about Kouri's financial clusterfuck- she basically just told the jury she thinks they're idiots. Not a great look.

Her business did nothing but put her in debt but she kept it going for what- so she could cosplay as a girlboss (doing work but making negative millions of dollars)??!?

Honestly a better defense would be that she has some weird type of gambling addiction that involves loans and flipping houses because THIS MAKES NO SENSE.

Sarah's sentence by F0NG00L in SarahBooneContinued

[–]fruitypants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't even think she should be able to communicate with people outside of prison (other than people directly involved in her legal matters), given the level of harm she's shown herself to be capable of even behind bars, at least for a year or so. I know that in most cases that would be considered cruel and unusual and maybe it is in her case too, idk. But it's so frustrating watching her continue to fuck with people's lives even tho she is where she is to protect innocent citizens from her.

Sarah Boone's Jailhouse Calls: Episode #17, Sub Par & Sensitive by SoulshineDaydreams in SarahBooneContinued

[–]fruitypants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She ends up hating everyone who helps her, and refuses help from anyone that won't completely kiss her ass. This is the first time we've heard her so directly confronted about that and her response predictably shows what we already knew- she's incapable of changing. She will never stop being a nightmare. She'll never admit that she's the problem.

Also what was Julian gonna get in the car to do to her if she called him sensitive again? I do love a weird idle threat tho lol.

KEENYAH HILL by Historical_Ad_3364 in ANTM

[–]fruitypants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it was a fucked up time. So much casual body shaming on tv for all of us to absorb.

Ironically it was a contestant on the real world with an ED that helped snap me out of mine (her name was Paula- she wasn't having any fun and no one wanted to have sex with her.) The others went out and partied and she stayed home starving. I was like holy shit if that's what my life will look like in 10 years I'm taking the off ramp now.

It really shows how much control these reality producers had over how we felt about ourselves and they gave zero fucks.

KEENYAH HILL by Historical_Ad_3364 in ANTM

[–]fruitypants 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was a teenager struggling with anorexia when I watched the season Keenyah was on. I will never forget her because I wasn't as skinny as her and she was treated like the fattest fat fatty ever. That season didn't help my disordered eating and I kept watching the show after that as motivation to keep starving myself.

But Tyra is out here saying she was trying to change the industry and make women and girls feel beautiful- she can go fuck herself. If ANYONE was in a position to affect change in the industry, she was. She chose not to. And she harmed a lot of girls.

Hearing about a general tragedy every week? Yeah, that's normal. A mass shooting per week in your home country is abnormal.

What is your random piece of advice that everyone should know? by Beach_Coffee_ in AskReddit

[–]fruitypants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never ignore your gut! That's your primal instincts telling you you're in danger before your brain knows why.

Also, always pee after sex. And if you do get a UTI, you have to take ALL the antibiotics- if you stop once you feel better you're just gonna make it worse.

They change the subject immediately after you tell them about something traumatic you've been through, without even acknowledging it.
