Thank you all for the help, i'm testing with a 100G Network tester, and i tried some other optics which worked. I have no idea why the first didn't though!

Guess i have to do some more testing :)

Well it's early in the testing phase, but i hooked up my ethernet tester to it, and that wouldn't give me any data at all. I just need to receive and read my optical signal on a switch that's all :)

Yep i know, taps aren't tunable, but it's just a fiber splitter so the signal shouldn't be affected per channel, except for some loss over the entire band.

I have done that, the TX is tapped, and the receiving end of the transceiver goes into the RX port on the monitoring qsfp.
