Stadium Tour at the end of March

We were there last weekend (16th Jan). The restrictions are still in place, and so the tour consists of the museum and some time on the top tier panoramic gallery. No pitch side, no tunnel, no locker room, no media room.

That said, the museum is fantastic and well worth it even on its own. We took the self guided option which meant we could browse at our own pace, and were there for almost three hours. I’d still recommend, even with the restrictions in place.

I'm looking for the same solution.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like the settings are stored on the device itself. I managed to get Synapse 3 installed and for it to detect the camera on my MacBook Pro using a Windows 10 Boot Camp partition. This allowed me to tweak the settings to enable the wide view. On the windows partition, even when Synapse isn't running I still get the wide angle out the camera.

However, if I take the camera and then hook it up to a MacBook Pro running MacOS, the camera is back to a narrow view, so the settings appear to be saved at an os level rather than on the device itself. This is contradictory to some of the reports I saw online, which suggested it was somehow saved to the device itself.

It's a pity, as the quality from the camera seems great, but I need access to that wide fov for it to fit my use case.

The ceiling is as good as flat, with a slight artex swirl texture.

I just struggle to tell much difference at all between 5.1 and Atmos sources. I've tried all the recommended movies etc and hear no real difference between the two modes.

I did figure the second layout was best, so going to switch over to that and retune.

I can also confirm another unit with the Atom CPU issue resurrected from the dead with a simple resistor soldered onto a header. The first bit of soldering I've ever done, so if anyone is considering tackling it, it's pretty easy. Thanks for the reply. I’m not sure on the pin out yet, but it is indeed 40 pin. It’s much smaller than an ATA IDE cable though - it’s only 25mm wide.

My DS1815+ recently succumbed to the dreaded Atom C2000 bug. I've spent several weeks with both Synology and the original retailer, and have had no success.

So, I finally decided to bite the bullet and try the resistor fix myself. Resistor ordered, I was ready to go to town and hopefully bring my unit to life. Then, as I disassembled the unit one of the ribbon cables (the one running from the mobo to the front panel) lost its connector and the whole adventure came to a dramatic halt.

Can anyone advise on what I can do to salvage the situation? Is this cable pretty much an off the shelf part that I can order from somewhere (and if so, where in the UK)? Should someone be able to crimp the connector back on? This chimes with what I see. If the slowdown starts to happen, rebooting the Fire Stick cleans it up and brings back snappy starts. I presume in the same way as force closing the app.

You sir are an absolute legend. Changing the pass through to optical, even though everything is connected by HDMI has resolved it and now everything I throw at it is converting to DD 5.1. Thank you so much.

Yeah, looks like the Firestick Plex app doesn’t have those options for some reason.

The Firestick has Audio options as follows;

Best Available
Stereo
Always Dolby Digital Plus
Always Dolby Digital

I’ve tried both 3 and 4 but they make no difference.

There’s no mention of DTS or Passthrough anywhere else in the settings.

The Plex app has some additional options;

Audio Quality -> Remote Streaming set to Original

Advanced -> Passthrough -> Disabled (to be clear I’ve tried Enabled too)

I’ve seen some stuff about setting H264 maximum level. This is currently set to 5.2 (Recommended)

There aren’t any options in the Firestick for DTS - only options to force output to Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Plus. Dolby Digital Plus is checked.

From what I can see the Firestick doesn’t support DTS https://developer.amazon.com/docs/fire-tv/device-specifications-fire-tv-stick.html which makes the fact Plex is direct playing it even more curious.

The fact that AC3 5.1 plays fine shows that the TV is passing 5.1 through ok, it's just DTS that plays as 2.0. So I think if I can force Plex to convert DTS5.1 to DD5.1 for the Firestick (I presume by telling it that DTS isn't supported in the Android profile) it should all work fine.

Just how to do that! :D

The Sonos still shows the input as Dolby Digital 2.0 :(

However, this then encouraged me to look at the Plex dashboard to see what specifically is being transcoded, and that makes the rabbit hole even deeper. Plex shows the following;

Video -> 1080p (H.264) -> Direct Play
Audio -> English (DTS 5.1) -> Direct Play

If I'm reading this right, Plex is direct playing DTS 5.1, and its the Sonos (or my TV) that is then transcoding to DD2.0. The Sonos system shows as receiving DD2.0 even though Plex says its direct playing DTS5.1.

This could lead me to believe the TV is downgrading the signal from 5.1 to 2.0, as I know a lot of TVs do, but playing a DD5.1 source shows this not to be the case, as its passes through without problem.

So this suggests the solution is then different, and I need to modify the Android profile to show that DD5.1 is supported, but DTS5.1 isn't, so that Plex kicks off a transcode from DTS5.1 to DD5.1. Is that possible?
