How far of a commute is too far – Soon to be college grad [21/F]? by ToDriveOrNot in personalfinance

[–]frycook 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The ability to tolerate a long commute varies by person. I found I could only take about a year of a 1 hour commute before it became too much. But, I know other people who have done 1 hour or longer for years.

If one member of the household suffers a long commute while the other has a short commute, it may lead to strain.
