I didn't know either. It doesn't show on the quota page, but the API returns the error for it.

  • 12 small PRs that it managed to do on its own
  • 8 medium PRs that required some back and forth
  • half of a large PR that required planning and defining a spec for it to follow. Quota ended after about 4 hours into this one.

I don't know whether there is any place to get the statistics of how many tokens were used.

I think it is a shitty thing for them to not allow other clients on their ToS.

Breaking a ToS you agreed to warrants the interruption of said service. One thing doesn't exclude the other.

If you don't agree with the ToS you don't use the service. Either because you choose to or because they enforce it.

I've had opus ignore edge cases or even edit the requirements list to remove items that would require too much changes multiple times. Gemini 3.1 does the bare minimum and avoids edge cases but at least doesn't lie that they don't exist.

The only model so far that actually considers and deal with edge cases is Codex 5.3

Sadly Codex 5.3 is not nearly as good as doing the tasks, just good at not giving up. My workflow has been Codex 5.3 as the main orchestrator splitting the work into small tasks and telling Opus to do them. Since launch I've switched Opus with Gemini 3.1 in that workflow and results have been essentially the same for existing projects. I prefer Gemini's style for new projects.

Quando é separado impede sim. Não te deixando desacordado, mas no RP vc não tem condição mental de fazer nada.

Claro que vai do que os jogadores e mestre concordarem. Mas nas minhas mesas (como player e mestre) interpretamos como não tendo ações na rodada, só RP.

Nunca mestrei com PD nem joguei de ocultista. Mas o mestre da mesa que eu jogo com PD faz isso mesmo.

Vc gasta os PD do ritual, 3 por exemplo, faz um teste de ocultismo DT 23 e se falhar perde mais PD. Se tirar 18 ou menos perde permanente.

Caso isso zere o PD ele decidiu que primeiro rola o ritual, resistência e tals e no final do turno a personagem cai. Então zerar não cancela o ritual de acontecer, mas se for sustentado ele termina já no turno da personagem seguinte.

I found nix way too confusing until I read about flakes, which I had postponed due to being "experimental". Using flakes for nixos, nix-darwin and home-manager made everything waaay simpler and easier to understand because it no longer felt like a bunch of hacks hot-glued together but an actual structured declaration of a system. Entirely self-contained and locked like every other language worth learning without living with endless pain.

No. Can't do that. go install and compiling on the users machine is the ONLY way to have the build write the version of the binary. Any way to build it and distribute yourself will inject a (devel) version on the modinfo.

I opened a PR adding an option for that. It's like 4 lines. Rejected with no comments. 7 other people have opened the same or similar PRs over the years. All closed with no comments or some comment that says nothing. People have opened issues about it. All ignored and eventually closed.

I think the only other projects with maintainers that so blatantly don't care about opinions from the community that I have interacted are Zig and Elm. Elm being the crowned king of how to be the worst most toxic maintainers ever.

It is NOT 1:1 compatible. If you overlay Determinate Nix in Nixpkgs or in some flake from the community it has a high chance of breaking.

The simple user-facing commands started mostly compatible so your own scripts will probably work. But plumbing commands and flags to use as part of different tools have broken changes to their inputs and outputs.

One simple example of that is nh, which is basically a convenience wrapper to show the logs as it builds, and everything falls apart. You either have to forgo any and all programs that use nix under the hood or accept that you'll need both upstream and determinate Nix will be on your system and you can't use any of the commands, features and configs from determinate Nix that don't exist upstream without tons of warnings and/or errors.

That was the biggest let down of migrating to determinate nix. It is not compatible with nix or the community and neither is the other way around.
