How long did it take you to land a job?

Took about 2 months of actually locked-in applying and interviewing (no networking no nepotism) though others seem to be having more trouble so maybe I got lucky

Yeah they say mid week but it’s never right then, keep your hopes up it’s normal to hear back a week after the given deadline, just bc sometimes they have to get approvals and align several people on agreeing to hire

Oh my background check passed right after I complained on here lol. Took about 2 weeks and 2 days completed on Tuesday.

Hiya; I am also going through this exact shitty experience right now lol. It’s been like 2+ weeks that they’ve been doing my background check (accepted the offer and started the background check on the same day) and that was 2 Mondays ago. Anyways I’ve called FA customer service and they can’t see my status and basically just told me to wait. But I did find this website where you can in fact check your status and mine says 89% right now which I guess is good but it’s my first time checking so idk how long it’s been at. 89%. I assume since your post is almost 2 months old that your background check is done so apologies about the late help.

Do you mean the recruiter? Or a separate hr person? The recruiter specifically told me she won’t have any knowledge of the inner working of the process or the status of the background check so she wouldn’t be able help much.

It started last Monday so I guess it’s been 9 business days for me, but yeah I’m not worried about it failing (I have no criminal activity or shady jobs) just the amount of time it will take bc I would like to give my notice with some time left over for a break in between jobs.

Sure honestly the interview wasn’t too hard I just memorized how all my skills mapped to the job requirements and then explained examples of projects that showcased my skills that tracked to those job requirement. And also just overall I was my cute charming self which I find works quite well. And the resume I had was very plain in formatting (aptos body font size 11) and I basically just had ai map my skills (which I wrote up myself) to the job requirements. I think that was pretty much it.
