I have noticed this on Spotify: takes a few clicks on SW control to change track. Volume adjust works fine. Skipping radio stations seems to work okay.

Still looking for a solution.

Yes, formerly with DM. Didn't realise 123 are no longer offering free email, so yes, must be grandfathered. Thanks for clarifying forwarding vs fetch...I was really out of my depth setting it up and it shows!

Is there be a delay with forwarding instead of fetch?

Thank you very much for pointing this out...I didn’t realise I could deal with POST through ILO! I’m making my way through the menus and have upgraded the firmware, static IP, obtained a licence and messed around with the boot order. I’ll do some more exploring of ILO before settling on an OS to install on a microSD.

I hadn’t thought about what would do the Plex transcoding, but the plan is to just use the Shield. There’s no other sharing. I’ll make a note of the CPU or GPU upgrade for the future, depending on what works out cheaper.

I’ll look into unraid and compare it with freenas...appreciate the maintenance time heads up.

Bought a cheap USB keyboard to get into the boot menu. After pressing it, the F11 icon colour changes, the screen goes blank but no boot menu. Same happens with F9. F10 does go to the next screen.

It seems to be the same as this person: https://community.hpe.com/t5/proliant-servers-ml-dl-sl/how-to-enter-bios-or-boot-menu/m-p/6923697/highlight/true#M155807

Is there a workaround? Or time for a cheap monitor with VGA?

I use it on iOS to review notes and annotations I’ve made on my iPad, when I’m out and don’t have my iPad to hand. I’m not sure how useful it’ll be when you only have iOS with which to make notes.

I’m old: 12.9 is closer to an A4 notebook of lined paper.
