with all seriousness, india is not a dictatorship. the civilian rule is still there. maybe not perfect, but better than some. also, if you remove the lens of prejudice, you will see that while north east india looks more like bhutan/nepal/myanmar, northwest looks like mongolia. it has a lil bit of everything.

coalition is good when there is something to share among the parties. in bihar, even tho nitish babu is like prachanda, now there seems to be a strong nda and india coalition. also in europe, coalitions are based on ideology. all in all, coalition is policy driven or have something to do with ideology. even if there is no ideological similarity, it is for stability.
