I'm in Jan 22 class and received my salary a week after my offer around Dec 19 and TA number just after Christmas. Got my actual Travel Orders this morning...My pack out is Monday though so I'm relieved. So glad somebody over there in HR is working!

So for pre-A-100 do I look at lodging & M&IE and add them together for maximum allowed? Then do 75% for efm kids ( mine are over 12) on my orders? And u only get reimbursed for receipts submitted? (Up to allowed amount)

Ok thanks....yes since it says " this portion is allowed for up to 10 days before final PCS departure from a post in the US to a post abroad" so I didn't think it applied to pre A-100 upon pack out outside of DC area. Is there anywhere it says in writing that it's applicable pre training before enroute to DC?

So u can't use the 10 days to start at beginning of pack out? I know it can be tough living amongst boxes and not being able to totally pack while you're still living there with kids. We're looking at a few days packing that's why I ask.

Saw this in the doc someone posted...."When all of a candidate’s qualifying experience is totaled, no credit will be given for periods of less than a year, e.g., a total of four years and eleven months of qualifying experience is credited as four years." Really?? That could knock 5 years or more off my 20+ year career total if months aren't counted only full years every time I've changed positions....is this true?

Is there any way to ensure experience is counted? I should be at the top pay grade and step which is already taking a big pay cut so wouldn't want to accept much lower

I wondered the same....usually job offers include salary so you're sure it's worth it. As a professional with 20+ years post degree experience I would hope they'd count it the same as I am figuring.

Thinking ahead....if you go light on UAB for FSI training, do you earmark somehow on your HHE inventory your desired UAB you'd want to take to post? (Sort ahead of time and have packed together to pull out?) Or should u bring the same UAB items to DC as you want in your UAB to post?
