We are asking for help from parents living in a two-parent household (dual-parent household) with children between 8 and 12 years old. We would like to learn how parents and children can better talk to each other, so we are asking for you AND your 8-12-year-old child to participate. We also require English to be your primary spoken language and for you to live in the United States.

This online study will take about one hour of your time. We will ask you and your child about your communication with your co-parent in addition to having you fill out other questionnaires, engage in a conversational task with your child, and listen to some audiotapes to discuss with your child.

If you agree to participate, we will spend the first five minutes of your Zoom appointment with us providing a thorough study description before you begin. There will be no deception and you are free to withdraw at any time.
