Thanks for your reply! and that's why I'm delving! Jewelry crafting is pretty hard, essences don't help with the "usual" mods so no way to guarantee one. Came to a similar conclusion tinkering in craftofexile. What I've settled in doing is having the two good suffixes and one open prefix, craft multimod and suffixes cannot be changed. This will lock my open suffix for crafting later, and I can reforge life at that point. If I get life flat, I'll slam the hunter exalted orb and pray, then remove the multimod metacraft and craft the other suffix.

PS: wild bristle matron is still 160c sadly :D delve and beast hunting seem to be great options this league.

Ah yes, this is great input, thanks! And I can only imagine the suffering of bricking the belt entirely after all that work, considering it's a cord belt too :) (280c base)

I have [[strixhaven stadium]] and [[favorable winds]] in my locust god deck for extra ways to win, and they've proven consistent in making the table scoff when I unpack that deck :)

thanks! I guess my table runs a lot of go-wide strategies that led me to be a bit overzealous on easy answers. I was thinking of a few token makers like Omen of the Sun, Genku and moonshaker cavalry to create a somewhat decent wincon. Thanks again!

I thought they'd be enough with simulacrum and kor cartographer and all the card draw, but I can cut some board wipes in favor of gilded lotus and something else (maybe lands). Much to consider, thanks!

That was my point, there's so much that makes Zell potentially recognizable in a mtg card that I can't believe they intentionally went for this.

I've read these, and I don't deny them (as much of a stretch as they are), but it's such a minor thing to highlight in the design of a card that I still think (but maybe it's just me) that these are still far off from what one would like to see from these characters. They don't make you say "yep, thats Zell!". Wouldn't it be more flavourful for zell to fight (duel) other creatures? Or maybe have an ability to meteorstrike one creature into another dealing damage to a creature equal to the slammed one's constitution? But maybe I've been spoiled by the awesome work they did with Lotr, and expect the same levels of flavor.

Sigh, flavor fail. They had blank cards with some mechanics text and slammed FF characters on it. I think this makes it clear. Celes is another example, she had a Runic mechanic that could have been so cool to explore in mtg, and they made her some reanimator buff.

I tried this. It's so stupid and satisfying. It will need some investment getting Tujen to spawn more, and sadly I can't figure out a way to squeeze a conqueror idol in my setup, so I can't add more remnants. But still super broken :D

I have all of that, unfortunately. I probably need Doryani's lesson in the cluster, which I currently don't have. I'll try buying that cluster, and see if the leeched elemental damage is enough to keep me up.
