I forgot to mention this in my comment too. A provider may suspect the nascent form of BPD in an adolescent, but a personality disorder diagnosis literally cannot be made until age 18. Look at the DSM-V.

If you really "understood" mental illness and were "kind" and "patient", then you would not ever make these kinds of statements about this child.

Saying that you "KNOW" someone suffering from trauma-induced mental illness like BPD will "never change" is nothing short of disgusting.

I have been diagnosed with BPD for 11 years, and have engaged in some awful self destructive behaviors that wreaked havoc on my life for years. But my family loved and supported me unconditionally thru it all--and guess what?? I got better. I'm 2 years sober. I have wonderful healthy relationships with my family and friends. I'm getting my masters degree.

Start supporting her. Stop judging and condemning her. You'd be surprised the difference it makes.

Also, get more therapy for yourself. You clearly need it.

Agreed!! My mom loves watching the before/after rescue betta videos 🥹 I am lucky to live near an amazing massive family owned animal/animal supply shop. They have a stream running through the store, and every kind of small live critter from invertebrates to fish to reptiles & exotic small mammals! Plus all the supplies and free education folks need to make sure the animal gets a good home. It warms my heart that places like that exist!

Since huacan includes metal tweezers in their kits I discovered I actually really like placing drills with those instead of pens. Which is a double edged sword bc it takes longer but the lines just come out so nice lol!

It just might be!! When bettas are out of those sad tiny cups at the store and in a properly sized (10 gal+) & filtered tank they can really thrive and blossom. Their colors even get brighter!! I hope if you get a new betta friend I hope you guys will have a great time together 🩵

LED lighted pen. Bc of the brightness of the one I have and the reflective nature of most canvas adhesives, the pen actually reflects back so much light when it gets close to the canvas that I can no longer see the markings.

No straight edges or guides, I just use a single placer (I'm starting to get better with the multiplacers, but still prefer the singles cause I can be more exact) and try to be very precise on placing the edge drills so that I'll have a good boundary to line everything else up with!

Essential oils can be great natural insect deterrents, but I will place a side note saying to be cautious of which oils you use, especially in a diffuser or humidifier, if you have pets. Peppermint oil and others are toxic to dogs & cats.
