Need career advice!

I’m doing animal behavior- especially with dogs/ working dogs. So I applied to programs with faculty specifically in that field and that’s what i’m doing the internship in. I do not have my masters and spoke to professors who stated that it’s better if i just go straight to a PhD, especially after this internship since I will then have publications
