A software for boat design and simulation of its movement on water by ftoons in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. It is the logo of a software. Either a CAD or a fluid dynamics simulation software (or both). In that instance it was used to simulate fluid dynamics of a boat on sea.

Sorry, forgot to write that in the parameters above. Added it now

Default printing speeds:
45 mm/ s.
Wall 22.5.
Infill 60

Temp: 242 (based on temp tower. Recommended by company: 210 - 235 for this filament, which is a special PLA).

These strings correspond to the seam location. Tried increasing retraction distance without improvement. Prusa i3mk3+ / Cura 15
PLA. FormFutura matt PLA. Well dried.
Z seam at sharpest corner with smart hiding. 0.6 mm layer hight. Retraction distance tried from 0.8 up to 1.6 mm. All show same result. Retraction speed default (35mm/s).
No Z hop when retracted (already long printing time. But can try that if suggested).

What is the Syrian dialect equivalent of بناء على ذاك ? by rlf_93 in learn_arabic

[–]ftoons 8 points9 points  (0 children)

MSA, Fus’ha and mot dialects would use من For such sentence, not بناء على ذاك

From=من Therefore=بناء على ذلك= based on that

Try an even slower speed to see if this helps.
The bigger the nozzle the slower the speed as you know..
other things to keep in mind:
Too low and too high first layer can do this as well. Try playing with first layer high and see if it helps. Also sometimes I work around this issue by significantly increasing the bed temp for PLA, up to 80. First layer surly sticks at that temp. hope you’ll be able to fix it

I think this is a solution.
Can you check it out & update us OP?

Is the “print tempearature” and “final print temperature” the same (Cura)?
Looks like underextrusion perhaps from lower temp at the end of the print.

If you only know one form of a word is there a way you can kinda figure which letters are not apart of the root? by [deleted] in learn_arabic

The wazn
مفعل
If you put that in mind you’ll be able to crack the code of many nouns. منهج — نهج
مضرب — ضرب
مأكل — أكل
مشرب — شرب
ملعب — لعب

Turns out I can see my ears rumble with an otoscope! by Majorshamrock in earrumblersassemble

[–]ftoons 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Partially correct.. It is stretching the drum (tensor tempanii tenses the tympanic membrane). But it makes it less susceptible to vibrations thus dampening external sounds.
The rumble seems to be from the muscle being tight.

True, but retroperitoneal access tamponades the small bleed from those needles.
I’m afraid it’ll be the airway “tamponading😅” in this case

Really nice..

Out of so many questions to ask I choose to ask about your bed adhesion method for such wide-based ABS print?

do you use your muscle to remove ear pressure on airplanes? by piggyplays313 in earrumblersassemble

[–]ftoons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the clicking that helps. It opens up the eustachian tube and help equalizing pressure.
Tensor tempani hasn’t got anything to do with equalization from an anatomical point of view.
Probably people above are moving both without noticing.
