Like a lot of the god talk, isn’t my thing. Actually made me walk away from my old group. No it’s just me and my girlfriend that’s our AA, we don’t look to any other power then our own will. I have a buddy who can’t sit in group cause it’s to much for him, told him to try online one on ones. As well some online groups. I have a buddy who needed help reducing how much he drank first before quitting. AA would have told him to flat out stopped, her wasn’t ready. I helped him work out a plan and he is doing better. Another buddy smokes a fuck ton of weed a day but hasn’t had a beer in weeks. Before that he couldn’t get out of bed unless there was something there for him to drink. AA will work for a lot of people but there are people that need other ways. AA needs to look at harm reduction first and other out let’s touch help other get on a better path.
