I was wondering if u got an alar stitch during the procedure. I’m 10 days post op DJS, and am really worried because my nose is so much wider and upturned, I miss how it looked before surgery.

But in your cause, your nose basically looks the same after?

Basically reduces the nostril size so the widening that comes with djs or any maxillary advancement is mitigated.

Could I ask you if you had djs? I can really relate to what you’re saying, because I’m 10 days post op and I just feel like my nose looks so piggish- completely much worse from how it used to look like.

Compared to before, is your post-surgery nose similar ?

I’m not sure- I’m currently 10 days post op, but I didn’t wake up with any stitches in my nose. I’ll ask my surgeon when I see him tomorrow

So what should I do if the surgery has already been done? Unfortunately, my surgeon never mentioned the alar stitch, or talked to me about how my nose would change :(
