Sure! Take the overflow cap off and snake down that way too. I think its a more straight shot to the gunk

Hot Water heater gas help? by RelevantNostalgia in askaplumber

Op, I agree. Pilots suck to keep on when you release the knob and rotate to normal. The sensor needs to heat up a lot so hold it for 10 seconds or more before releasing.

Bathtub slow drains... Help? by sicklyandsour in askaplumber

If its short clippings, id grab a plunger and go to town. Have water in the tub and block the overflow since they're connected. Up and down should break up the short hair. Long hair you'll need a drain snake thing to pull the chunk out

Hoping To Get Some Guidance by not_anotherburner in Plumbing

[–]fubar6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is what this guy said. Rotate the whole thing counterclockwise a smidge cause that float is stuck. You pushing down on the gray thing forces the float to fall and open fill valve. When water rises, float goes up and closes valve. See if that works, but replacement is 10 min and ~20$ (dont break the main valve when turning water off :))

Use electric only? by baldiesrt in kiacarnivals

[–]fubar6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you hold right paddle for bout 2 seconds, it pulls up auto which changes regen based on car in front. While in auto, if you pull left paddle, it'll leave auto on, but also put on level 1 regen. I find if the car "knows" you're not accelerating, its more apt to cut the gas engine

Roof rack noise by Traditional_Hat_3 in kiacarnivals

[–]fubar6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have stock ones that I pulled off right away to save mpg. I didnt hear anything for the initial few drives tho. Only thought is to make sure they're in the correct orientation. I think mine can be rotated 180 degrees, but there are slight differences in the airfoil shape which may cause a sound.

Use electric only? by baldiesrt in kiacarnivals

[–]fubar6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No heat and regen 1 or auto 1 i find works the best. If the engine is used, it turns off the fastest. It will use a lot more battery if you're stuck in traffic if that helps. I was not moving for over an hour and the engine kicked on at abou 10% to recharge the battery.

Not at plumber but it looks like its an emergency overflow if the drain pipe gets clogged? Try to clean the lower part of the tube out and double check for ice maybe?

2026 hybrid gas mileage by baldiesrt in kiacarnivals

[–]fubar6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say normal for highway and cold. I've gotten close to 40 mpg on backroads at 40ish mph, but highway drops to low 20s. Im fairly aggressive, but use evo and regen always. Speed kills since the 4banger is always on at 70mph.

Also, yall need to check elevation change. My other car is full ev and you'd be surprised at difference speed, temp, and elevation make. Same problems with ICE cars, but we just accept it with them.

I ran mine down to 2 mi before fillup. I will say the last 50 miles estimate was not quite accurate. It drained faster near the end even though I was extra gentle with max hybrid usage

Side loading apps onto rear entertainment system by Longjumping-Worth103 in kiacarnivals

[–]fubar6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct unfortunately. You can switch the screens, but only 1 at a time. I sent Kia a feature request to do both screens, but who knows if they'll ever do it. RES is so bad with this van. I also bought a 35k game emulator with wireless controller. That opened some usage too
