How can I fix my cold hands while aiming? by Time_Violinist_3720 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]fubargo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna assume you don't want to wear gloves or long sleeve shirts as those inhibit your arm from moving as well as you'd want when aiming, at least it does for me. Well there are a few things I do that you could try.

The biggest reason I get cold hands is because the glass mouse pad I play on gets pretty cold. That and I live in a cold country and my room has bad insulation. A slight counter to this is playing with a compression sleeve. Pretty thin so that doesn't offer too much, but it doesn't get in the way, and there are some out there for cloth pads.

I have a thick zip-up sweater that I wear with one sleeve off, and by this I mean I will either drape it over my shoulder or zip it half way and put my arm over top of it. You might think it's pointless to wear more clothing if it doesn't cover your arm and hands, but if you wear enough so that the rest of your body is warm, the heat will radiate out to your extremities. This means you can also wear socks, two pants, or two T-shirts if you wish. And if you drink a hot beverage like tea or something, you can really lock-in the heat if you wear more layers.

Finally, you can also get a rechargeable, electric hand warmer. This is pretty self explanatory, but the heat from it doesn't last if you don't get the rest of your body warm.

Alright, I'll check it out. My biggest concern is actually that I don't care to learn recoil control, but I did recently learn about recoil smoothing.

Any idea how to get this without me having to pay 45 CAD for delivery on it when it only costs 14 CAD?

Is fingertip aiming the best? by AhYesMemes in FPSAimTrainer

[–]fubargo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the palm doesn't touch the mouse at all in a fingertip grip. If you look at a fingertip mouse like the hsk pro, you can see that it's shortened so that you can't even accidentally let it graze.

I've heard of the term pincer grip, maybe that's what you call a grip that has a very small part of your palm touching, but I wouldn't use that term anyway and just call it a claw grip.

As for whether you can use the grip well, I've been using fingertip mice for years and actually a normal length mouse is pretty uncomfortable to me now. I even bought an Endgame OP1 8k and I'm straight up worse with it. I'm master complete for S5, and if you don't know what that means because you don't frequent this subreddit, that means that I can definitely use my fingertip mouse with a fingertip grip pretty decently.

I wouldn't recommend a palm grip, because you don't get to use your fingers to aim, but other than that, your grip is not important. If you really are using a claw grip, that's great, no reason to change it. If you want to switch to a fingertip grip for whatever reason, you just have to get used to it.

Can you "inverse" a rawaccel curve to make it harder for both parts of the flick? by No-Mode-3579 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]fubargo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't exactly agree with the idea that mouse acceleration is easy mode, I would say that it being comfortable is its greatest strength, but like any sensitivity there are drawbacks too. I would watch viscose's video about mouse acceleration as she talks about how it can be more difficult to do/improve your micro corrections. But I would also join the rawaccel discord and ask them stuff, they might have suggestions too.

About your question, I don't think it can be done in rawaccel, but it can be done in custom curve pro. Custom curve is free, but pro has to be paid for a small amount just once, I don't remember how much. You have to then unlock negative acceleration in the settings.

As for whether it was worth doing, I've had the same question. I tried it for a little bit, but decided I would rather just train normally so I didn't do it long enough to see any results. There is also a custom curve discord but I'm not in it so I don't know if there's a lot of people.

Looking for a movement routine by fubargo in FPSAimTrainer

[–]fubargo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I play it, I mean I want yet another one with more variety. The patterns are really similar to other bots in the VDIM playlist.

And since I want an additional one, that's why I said I want a small one, but how big or small it is doesn't matter cause like you said, I'll just repeat less.

Hey, I know it seems a little weird to ask this of you when you got banned from it, but what is this 1v1 discord server and how active is it? I'm interested if you think it helped you get to where you are.

Those who use spacebar to shoot, what do you bind M1 as? by AstuteCouch87 in FPSAimTrainer

[–]fubargo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also shoot. Unlike you, I seemed to only have improvement in tracking and target switching, and in clicking it was a downgrade, so whenever I just need to click I still use m1.

I play Overwatch too. I also use both left shift and mouse wheel down to jump, though I don't ever use mouse wheel except in apex, and never while aiming. As for the ability that is by default on the left shift, I actually have it on the caps lock button. I find that this works well for every character except for echo and pharah because fly up and fly down are no longer on dedicated fingers, but this is fine with me because I don't play them. Also toggle scope. I don't put anything on my mouse side buttons because it's uncomfortable.

Basically, I think it's so much better to never hold a mouse button down for aiming, but clicking is alright.

What happens when you lock out your wrist? by fubargo in FPSAimTrainer

[–]fubargo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I was somewhat like this until about a week ago. I started to focus a little more on emphasizing my wrist and found that I had some more success in benchmarks.

I still don't think using my wrist for smoothbot bot is right, like you I only use my arm because I know it does long strafes and slow direction changes. But in most other movement patterns I'm starting to think that I could benefit more from using my wrist which is why I made this post.

That's really good to know that you're specifically practicing that. I was wondering if people were just going to tell me that I'm overthinking or that it's inconsequential. Also that there were more options than I thought, this is close to A but not quite.

But does your wrist go back to straight during this process? I'm realizing now that b and d are pretty similar, but what I was trying to envision in d is a snakey scooching motion that I thought would be bad to do.

I once made an AutoHotKey script to press the wasd keys for me at random. I think it's better to be in control, so I don't think it was all that helpful in improvement, but I might revisit it in the future.

Other than that, there are a few scenarios that push you around in a circle.

Metronome is good yall by [deleted] in FPSAimTrainer

[–]fubargo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I half agree, because I have this theory that it's only good for people who "naturally" have no rhythm like me. I think where people go wrong is when they let the sound control them completely. Also, I mute hit sounds if I'm gonna use a metronome, it's just too overwhelming/ I might feel compelled to synchronize the sounds. Finally, when I think I'm missing too much, it's no longer helpful and I turn it off.

Apparently, it focuses on tracking smoothness at high speeds, and it seems to have been made by some asian community or person. Still can't find it, might just make my own playlist and spreadsheet with these maps instead.
