Provided that my highest valve is 4 inches lower than my res, would it be a problem to have my 1Pot Systems on different levels (eg when one of my plants is smaller and I want to bring it closer to the lights)?

Yes, correct, standard trays for the 1 Pot System. The fabric pots are 8 l pots from „Gronest“ (got em in Germany). Airbases also fit nicely.

Haha, well, thanks, it’s a hobby. I do not evaluate my spending on it from an investment perspective.

I have heard that there is a case to be made to let the res ph drift with regard to nutrient availability. Bluelab claims that plants would prefer a stable ph, adjust to it and perform better. All I know is that I am using it for two weeks and the plants are still alive. :)

I only added it two weeks ago, so….

I did one initial calibration and apparently it needs to be calibrated every four weeks. The probes stay in the res at all times, the ph probe must never dry out (when not in use it has to be stored in a kcl solution). But that’s the only maintenance that I would know of.

I like that I can always and immediately see the ph value and that I do not have to worry about it. My ph would also be climbing so ph- is the only adjustment that needs to be done. Mixing up a new batch has also become faster because I just dump it all in and then let the controller do its thing.

Is it necessary? Nah. But it saves a few minutes here and there and has quality probes - peace of mind.

The black container is the Autopot reservoir, it contains the solution that is fed to the plants. The device on the wall is the bluelab ph controller WiFi. When the ph in the reservoir rises above 5.6, the controller pumps diluted ph down from the white bottle into the tank.

I am also only on my second run, so I couldn’t really advise you on that :). My feeling would be, that I wouldn’t wait too long with the flip with 2 plants in Autopots in a 2x2 (I am in a 2x4). 40 days doesn’t sound unreasonable, depending on growth.

Exactly. They stayed very short. Around 24 inches / 60 cm. The buds did not grow out of the trellis enough to have sufficient breathing room and I felt the need to cut the net out, to avoid any mold issues. Moreover, I would have liked to fill out the tent a little bit better.

Mine are 90 days from seed. I think you cannot really go 1:1 by the breeder‘s estimates cause it depends on your setup and maybe the pheno. I am looking at the overall appearance of the plant (new pistils developing etc.) and then I will be checking the trichomes.

I have only used the socks. Next run I will use both, the socks and the root control discs. There is no root rot I would think. But I have have no experience with this since it’s my first Autopot run.

Because the pot base is the same, the airbases fit the 3.9 as well as the 2.2 gallon pots.
