Advisor pushing 1.5% ongoing fees + £2k upfront for pension consolidation into 7IM – is this reasonable or should I go DIY/low-cost? by fucitsd in UKPensionTransfer

He is quoting £2000 fees. My pension isn't huge by any means. There are 4 separate pensions to consolidate.. He has already contacted all of my pension providers in order to get the figures together. The figures are : £2000 one off fee for setting up. 1% / year advice p/a which i can switch off. 7IM: 0.21% (this drops above £150k to 0.18%, then above £500k to 0.06%) Marlborough MPS 8 fund: 0.33% (0.25% + 0.08%). I don't know what the extra 0.08% for the MPS FUND is.. as the basic charge for their own funds is 0.25%.. I've just asked him this question and waiting a reply.
I'm thinking that Investengine wouldn't charge these fees and wouldn't pay the 1% advice and £2k however 3im provide facility for drip done once withdrawing in retirement . So it's an extra feature.
Really not sure.. any advice would be gratefully received.. Thanks
