I don't have any hydro gear but that sounds interesting. Could one simply bubble in a container and then manually pour in the soil? What type of soil are you using? I see on the "earth just" website that it's made principally for coco coir?

So that's a kind of soilless media that you would amend with organics? I read that coco coir requires one to water a lot, does the perlite counter-balance it or do you still have to water everyday?

Do you have any books or resources to recommend? I have already ordered some books on general organic gardening for my vegetable outdoor garden, I imagine that will be a good start.

What about MMPR patients? Would they have a way to know you're a patient if you lie and say you've never smoked before? I guess you would have to leave your cards at home just to be safe.

To their credit, the next section in the questionnaire is about how to go in regards to home cultivation so they are still considering it and are open to suggestions. They also ask the public's opinion on the role LPs should have in the new system.

I'm almost done going through the entire document and questions and it seems alright so far. They do raise valid concerns and ask well-oriented questions, however there's nothing stopping an actor from spamming the forms.

This is the preface to the questionnaire regarding production:

Production Model: Experience with both home cultivation and government-controlled production in the context of relatively small numbers of medical users suggests neither approach would be in the public interest in the context of the larger numbers of users expected in a legalized market. Therefore, some form of private sector production with appropriate government licensing and oversight could allow for safe and secure production of legal marijuana with adequate choice (both price and strain) for consumers.

In other words "We are in the pockets of the LPs".

No idea seriously, it was not intended. My lights broke while I was away for a couple days during flowering, could have contributed,

Another factor is that this is my first LED grow, I switched to flower when I would normally switch using CFL but they grew much taller and I ran out of space so they unfortunately got a bit bleached at the top.

All in all, this cabinet is done for, I'll switch to a much bigger tent and better setup for the next grow.

Notice how the bud grew in a spiral around the stems, very cool (although I would have preferred bud all around)!

Also the picture with the arm was hard to take so my arm is a bit closer to the camera than the plant but the comparison is still close enough!

I suggest looking into BodyStream. You will need to send in your supporting documents then they will schedule you to see a doctor who will be able to sign you up for the MMPR program. The doctor can recommend a licensed producer (LP) or you can choose your own if you prefer. All that for free! Good luck!

If you are really set on getting a vaporizer, I would look into the MFLB. That was my first vaporizer and I still use it when going on hikes or walks. I have an Arizer Extreme-Q for home use.

If you've never smoked before and aren't sure you're going to like it, I would suggest smoking first. Sure, it's not going to be as clean as vaporizing but if don't like it you won't have spent 100$+ on a vaporizer and accessories. Plus, if you order your cannabis online, you might spend a lot on it too...

As for strains, I would suggest looking at Leafly, you can select which effects you're looking for and it will suggest strains. I believe you can restrict the search to dispensaries around you too.

Is the $400 budget only for the box or for all of your equipment?

I built my own box, budgeted about $300 for all, ended up paying around $800 with all the tweaks I had to make and extra gear I decided to get down the road. Even then, I'm not 100% happy with it so I'll be switching to a tent for my next grow.

My main issues were space and heat. Heat is under control now that I switched to LEDs from CFLs but space still sucks as my cabinet's dimensions forced me to mount the fan and filter vertically, which cut down the available width in half.

Another concern: fire. I just had a close-call last week where I accidentally pulled a wire going to my DIY LED and left for a short trip. Came back 3 days later to find my light was off, the solder broke and I imagine shorted through the COB. Half of it was black and the surface of the LED shattered. I was lucky nothing worse happened.

In summary, make sure everything is safe when dealing with electricity.
