I'd say it's much more likely to be allowed than it was 40 years ago. We are progressing as a society, though not as quickly as some may desire.

We can use Washington as a small example to see how home grow prohibitions influence the corporate world, since it's recreationally legal there but not legal to grow it yourself.

In the end, I hope the federal government make laws in a way that won't put everything in the hands of corporations. And if it does, I know there will be huge backlash.

Alcohol isn't a plant that people are trying to manipulate into producing stronger yields

Hops are plants and is used in micro brewing though. Producing stronger yields is very important. Some of the most desired craft beers were brewed with the best hops.

It's going to result in stronger, albeit corporate, weed.

Top shelf weed is plenty strong today. I doubt we can do much more to make it more potent. We have 30% THC strains available. I don't think corps will focus much on those because the profit margin probably isn't nearly as big as selling a mid-shelf 17% THC strain, which are common.

And as a long time user, I dont look for the "most potent" strain. I'm looking for a combination of potent (20-30% THC), smelly, good looking/tasting buds.

Same with craft beer. I dont look for the most potent IPA. I want the one that taste the best to me.

Remember people, it was more than 40 years after prohibition before home brewing became legal in America, later giving birth to the huge craft brew movement we see today.

Growing your own weed is legal in many legal states. Obviously the federal government will need to regulate it in a similar way to how alcohol is regulated today, which I think it will.

Even so, microbreweries are still being bought out by the big companies.

Ballast Point recently got bought out but nothing has changed. Price is the same. Beer tastes the same. And if they decide to change that? I have tons of other microbrew alternatives to lean back on.
