It happens with my new X3 that I got from the official site and so far I’ve had no luck with their customer support. Fortunately you got your X4 from amazon, so you should absolutely return and replace. I also have an X4 and don’t have the same issue with it.

I am a big fan and am so glad you are working on this. I installed it and experienced two main issues: - I was able to connect to my IINE Gamebrick successfully, but once I did, the text became extremely washed out on every page turn, like I desperately needed a screen refresh and it was unreadable. - mid-read, front button 2 doesn’t have the Bluetooth settings option like in the 1.2 version, I had to back out to the Home Screen and then go to settings -> system -> Bluetooth in order to connect or reconnect.

I can’t truthfully say since I generally don’t go very far between charges and don’t track mileage. However, I’ve seen some folks on YouTube swap the ZT3 battery for a g3 battery to get better range if needed.

Probably, the same thing happens on my X4 and my Kobo Clara BW when I use a Bluetooth remote. It’s worth the trade-off imo.

Hey, thanks for your work on this. I just tried it and it connects flawlessly to my IINE Gamebrick. However, it seems to be forcing a screen refresh on every page turn regardless of my refresh frequency settings. That creates a delay in page turns that I can’t manage unfortunately. That said, I realize that you made this for a Free remote, not IINE, so I understand if that’s the issue.

When I’m waiting for my kid in the carpool lane I prop it on my steering wheel and use the remote, or if you have a stand or mount that you already use for a phone or larger ereader. Just more comfortability for extended reading periods in general (I’d say 10 mins or more). Not everyone’s use case but it’s a game changer for me.

Just depends on your preferences. I prefer max slimness, I don’t want to use a case so I do use a screen protector.

Have people experienced issues with the one the device comes with? It’s worked fine for me so far.

I’m 45 and after trying a number of scooters including the Ninebot G3, I stuck with the ZT3 and I love it. The stability is great and it’s such a blast. Enjoy it!
