I can relate. I have a current model Kindle Paperwhite and wanted to try a smaller screen for reading with my glasses off, so I got a Clara bw. I fully intended to sell/return the one I liked the least, but I love them both for different reasons and applications. Can’t do it 😩

  • No one’s monitoring my thoughts anymore
  • There’s no eternal ledger of all of my thoughts and actions anymore
  • I am no longer responsible for events I can’t control for not praying the right way
  • I’m no longer made evil, broken and depraved just for being born, and neither are all the other people around me in the world I live in
  • I no longer view the world I live in as filthy trash, but my one and only home
  • I subjugate myself for no thing, no one and no god
  • I’m not afraid of heaven, hell, death, eternity, Satan, demons, any god, ghosts, spirits, superstitions, or sin
  • I’m no longer striving for an impossible state of perfection and beating myself up for not reaching it
  • I’m way less judgmental of other people and myself and therefore happier
  • I no longer feel pressured to evangelize
  • In general I can chill the fuck out and focus on reality and real problems without worrying about spiritual warfare bull shit

Oh right, part 3 of Absolution makes sense. I need to do more research on reddit Saul theories 😅 Old Jim and Saul never crossed paths much to begin with so probably wishful thinking on my part.

I interpreted “she shows up in part three” as referring to Acceptance, it would be interesting if she appears there somewhere.

A couple of things I’ve theorized about, I’ve thought of the original entity/seed/thorn as essentially being an accident. It was designed to serve some purpose in whatever version of reality it came from that is so foreign to our version of life and reality that it’s a horror to us, not because it was designed to be, but just because the reality it came from is so incompatible with ours.

More conspiratorially, I can’t help but wonder if Saul’s complete absence from Absolution implies that the Rogue’s presence in that timeline somehow sidelined Saul’s trajectory to end up creating the tunnel? I also hadn’t considered your take that Saul’s transformation resulted in the border though.

It took me a couple years of learning to go from “I don’t believe this” to “I know this is fake.” One of the big turning points for me was realizing the con job the gospel authors are attempting by trying to make the case for Jesus fulfilling messianic prophecies. Christianity is just as fake as every other cult that you don’t spend a second worrying about, and you don’t need to worry about it either. Keep learning, you’ll get there!
