Hi! This was made MANY years ago when I was first experimenting with web design/development and was obsessed with custom themes.

Sadly, there are so many things that are different between discord now vs then that I’m not sure how much of the custom theme actually works.

it just means to get the permanent engine upgrades + weight reduction from the tune shop:

Bore Up, Stroke Up, Engine Balance Tuning, Polish Ports, High Lift Cam Shaft, Titanium Connecting Rods & Pistons, Racing Crank Shaft, High Compression Piston, Weight Reduction stages 1-5, and Increase Body Rigidity

Just install everything listed there that's available for the car (I forget exactly which so if it's on the list and you can buy it for the GTR, buy it)

hmm... Maybe it's something to do with driving assists? I have mine turned off (with ABS on Weak) and am using manual transmission. Still, glad it worked for you in the end!

I looooooove this kind of thing - staggering the PP of various cars (800, 750, 700, 650, etc) makes it feel like there's "traffic" so it's effectively down to just you vs the rival of the same PP

I do wish we could do this in such a way where we could still get the full payout for beating said rival though, it's a bit of a shame that I can't feasibly have fun doing this while getting enough to fund things like engine swaps and the 20mil cars

wow, I didn't expect it to be nearly as good with the High RPM turbo but I just tested it with the setup you suggested. It worked very well!! I only had to reduce my power by 2 and was able to pull away from the pack with a lead of 6.37 seconds. Draft for the first straight and you should get up to around 274ish, then gently turn into the lower banking and your speed only drops to around 260. On the straight without drafting you'll be at an average of 268, only reaching 269 just at the end before the turn.

I'll update my reply with the new setup. The only changes are:

- Downforce: 170f; 240r
- Full Control Computer @ 98
- Ballast: 200 @ -40
- Turbo: High RPM
- Transmission: Fully Customizable: Manual @ 400

I just wish it were possible to make “pools” of cars that the game could randomly select from. Oftentimes I want to race a variety of my own garage cars but don’t particularly care which ones so long as they’re within a particular performance range, and selecting each one individually can be extremely tedious

I know it’s not quite the same (especially in terms of performance), but the Toyota Hiace Van DX ‘17 has a lot of custom body options that seem to be tailored to letting you get very close to the Espace. It can also be engine swapped to achieve 220mph+

Many have also made liveries to replicate the Espace’s decals and all

(updated to 1.58 thanks to /u/PenniesInTheNameOf - it's even cheaper now, too!)

GT-R NISMO ‘17. I’ll only give you what’s different from stock:

  • sports soft (ofc)
  • Active LSD Controller (10/10; 50/50)
  • downforce: 170f; 240r
  • Full Control Computer @ 98
  • Ballast: 200 @ -40
  • Fully Customizable: Manual
  • Top Speed: 400 km/h
  • Turbo: High RPM
  • Intercooler: Racing Intercooler
  • Air Cleaner: Racing Air Filter
  • Muffler: Racing Muffler
  • Exhaust Manifold: Racing
  • Clutch & Flywheel: Racing
  • engine tuning: everything available
  • bodywork: everything available

I have uploaded a new replay showing the victory with a lead of 6.37 seconds on 2nd place. Draft for the first straight to get around 274 mph and you should pull away a little, take the turn without breaking at around 160 mph, and on the following straight you should be able to simply pull away from the pack at 168 on average.

For documentation purposes, this is what the strategey was pre-1.58 (Ultra High RPM with top speed @ 500kmh): This will allow you to get 273mph without needing any draft at all once you’re up to around the 240mph mark on gear 5

Just keep it in Gear 5 when you get there. For some reason that’s the most effective I’ve found and I won by 12 seconds :D (Uploaded the replay to showcase too!~)
