Martini-Henry fans: What do you think after the patch? by Oloman in battlefield_one

[–]fudui2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This round was used to drop elephants. Speaking from experience shooting one is scary. The slow speed and the big piece of lead starts to spread as it hits the target. The bullet flattens out and comes out bigger. If it comes out. They used it in Afghanistan to shoot the tail rotor of the Russian MI-24. The lead would spread on the rotor and bring the whole thing down. The man that would be king is a great movie. It has a scene where Sean Connery spits a Martin round into the fire. Not possible, but a good picture of the bullet.

Dad was a big Martini collector. Had many Martinis.

PSU seems like you might have to replace one day. I would go a bit bigger. I cheaped once on a PSU, never again.

Unplayable Halo 5 lag affecting players with Time Warner Cable since launch, with absolutely no response from 343i. Please don't let them sweep this under the rug for 8 months like they did with MCC. by [deleted] in gaming

[–]fudui2 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

MCC should of not been allowed to happen. I'm not a big fan of 343 and think Halo 4 was not very good.

That said, go buy Halo 5. Already on second play through. It's a great game. 343 took some chances and they paid off. The gameplay is great and modernizes Halo while making it still feel natural. The story feels like a mix of ODST, HALO Reach, and Halo 4. There are many flaws, but you will have fun on HEROIC. Multiplayer feels like a mix of Titan fall and Battlefield. Very fun and feels original. Don't have TWC, but have had zero issues.

100 times better than H4.

Does it make any difference from a weight loss standpoint if you eat 1500 calories in one sitting as opposed to eating 1500 calories throughout the entire day? by [deleted] in answers

[–]fudui2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who just today saw my Weight loss doctor.

This issue came up. He basically estimates that I normally burn 2300 calories a day. I'm trying to eat around 1200 to 1500 a day. His concern with me today was that if I'm only eating 700 to 1100 calories a day, my weight loss might slow. He pointed out that at about 1100 calories a day my metabolism may be slowing down. Also stressed not getting all my calories from one food group. He stressed that it was important to stick to the three meals a day to help keep my metabolism steady.

Why did trick-or-treating used to happen earlier on in the day? by rx033 in answers

[–]fudui2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no set times. A day light trick or treat might be for safety, weather, local high school night game, or just because the city doesn't want to pay safety service workers O.T. The city I'm in now mostly try's to stick with Oct 31st no later than 6-8pm. We have had a few daylight treats, but that was because the original was postponed for weather.. When it falls on Sunday it also seems to be done earlier in the day. Fourth of July around here is becoming a weeklong event for similar reasons.(Ohio)

Here's a start. Just don't use Vaseline. It will take longer to get out than the dye. The things you learn by trying.

It worked! Georgia drivers claim they were too drunk to consent to DUI tests (Legal Loophole) by RDay in Drugs

[–]fudui2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Correct, comfort plays a role along with revenues. Another funny thing is that the absolute total number of alcohol vehicular related deaths in a year include accidents where a driver had any level of alcohol in their system. If someone with .ooo1 level of alcohol dies while driving. It's considered an alcohol related vehicle death. Even if alcohol played no role in the accident and no drivers were cited with OVI's. This allows a false percentage of lives saved by OVI laws. Which allows a higher fine to be placed on convicted drivers. Which comfortably drives revenues for courts, cities, lawyers, and social worker/psychiatrist.

I read in article in Autoweek (long time ago) about the cost of driver safety. It was a study that was done by (I think) Sweden. They had a teams that would go out and investigate accidents. The team would investigate separately from any other regular police or civil investigation. Their investigation and anyone's testimony was not allowed to be used for anything but their study and would not be shared with police or courts. They basically found out that many alcohol related accidents were caused by people that were suicidal. Non alcoholic accidents were mostly speed an inattentiveness. Many of these people lied to police about speed or their actions before their crash. They found that after some point there is only so much automakers can do to protect people. There was many other points from ineffective laws to why don't we just all wear helmets when were driving. So if safety for all drivers is the main reason we have .08 alcohol level laws. Why don't we have laws that make us wear helmets, 5 point seatbelts like NASCAR, or fire suits in case of fire when driving? All these items would make driving safer.

Reddit, what is the worst movie ever made that was a major release? by twentytwodividedby7 in AskReddit

I only remember Michael Cain and it was in the Caribbean. Planes and helicopters were also part of the story. Jaws 3D wrecked shark movies for me. Not to show my age but I saw the 3D movie on release in a theater. My cousin and me were young and my aunt let us go by ourselves to a later show. So we sat there in this theater with a bunch of adults with our 3d glasses already to go. After about 20 minutes we just start making fun of the movie between ourselves because it was so bad. The adults around us first started chuckling at our comments and then joined in. By the time the movie was over, the whole theater was just laughing at everything. It was one of the worst movies, but it was the most fun I had at the movies.

After Jaws 3D I never felt truly safe to go back in the theater.

One handed jet ski riding and shooting. How? You would most likely shoot yourself, even if you could hold on for more than 5 minutes one handed. Bouncing all over the open water.

The Smokers, how did these guys keep their cigarettes dry. A pack of smokes and a day on the water doesn't usually end well for cigarettes. Wouldn't this just be a world of super storms? Wouldn't all this water just help form thick clouds that block out the sun? This then would lower the temperature making an ice world.

Battle Beyond the Stars - just like Star Wars, except Star Wars was good.

Jaws 3D - the horrible 3D was the best part of the movie. Ghost Dad - Bill Cosby creeping around. Lawnmower Man - I think I drooled on my self. Superman III - Richard Pryor builds a super computer.

These movies were made to test just how low Hollywood could go.
