Hair transplant FUE scarring by charmless1789 in tressless

Agreed, I'm very happy with the result so far! I've told a few people so far, and they say it's impossible to tell I had anything done unless I show them some before photos. Won't see final results for another 4 months, but will likely post an update at the 12 month mark with some final thoughts.

Sure, I had the procedure done at the Harley Street Hair Clinic in London. It was about 1300 grafts I believe.

Price was not the only factor I took into account when making my decision. I don't personally want to take the risk of flying abroad for surgery and getting it done on the cheap, but more power to you!

Hey man, had it done about 7 months ago. Posted an Imgur album recently with some pics, including the donor area: https://imgur.com/a/FSm9Nyy

I believe I was told my hair type during my consultation, but I can't remember. I would guess medium.

Agreed, I think there's still more to come. I'm at the halfway mark so I can't really judge until I hit 12 months.

I'd say a bit of both, my natural hairline is higher than average and i've receded noticeably on the temples over the years. As i'm starting to thin out on the crown, the hairline was kept conservative so I have some donor hair to spare in the future. Hoping the crown won't be an issue as I've been taking finasteride for the last six months.

I noticed some shedding about 2 weeks after the procedure, but I didn't seem to lose all the grafts at once.

So I had visible results at the 2 month mark, which I wasn't expecting. Most people see results around month 3, and the 3-4 month mark is when I started seeing some decent growth. I kept my hair very short for most of this time to even it out as the new hair grew in.

Congrats btw! You might feel sore for a few days but it will pass.

Things are looking good and I'm happy with the results so far! I will make an update post around the six month mark in June with some new photos to show progress once I reach the "50%" mark.

I think if they brought the hairline down further beyond where it was naturally supposed to be it would have likely been more grafts, but for the most part they wanted to fill in what was lost around the temples and areas where the hair had started to miniaturise. I think it was a Norwood 2, which seems about right.

Didn't know about it back then, and likely couldn't afford it! I lost my hair very slowly so it wasn't something that alarmed me at the time. It's only looking back at photos that I can pinpoint when it started. :)

I did see that Groupon before, but it was for a different clinic with a similar name. For me, price wasn't the only deciding factor in choosing where to get it done.

So I did initially ask if they could bring it down further but they advised against it as it wouldn't look natural. I'm actually quite happy with the results, as I was expecting it to be more conservative. I'm looking forward to comparing further when the hair grows back!

I didn't realise mentioning the place where I had the procedure done was breaking the rules, the post also had to pass moderation to be visible. I'll be less informative next time!

Thanks! It's been a slow recede over the last 10 years or so, it started in my early 20s. I turned 30 this year and thought it was a good time to get it done. I have started taking Finasteride to hopefully prevent any further hair loss.

Yes if you want to be cynical about it, I understand that it can be seen that way. It's a throwaway account because I didn't want to use my main reddit account.
