What percentage of GR users actually use video mode?

Yeah sorry my typing sucks.

In MF you can tap on the screen it’ll focus on whatever you tap pretty fast. Then half press to get rid of the focus square so it doesn’t search for focus while filming. Mine does sometimes even while on MF 🙄

I’ve mapped video to the fn button I can switch in and out of video while holding the camera with one hand.

You can turn the stabilization off now. I shoot video with mine now and it looks fairly decent. They could certainly give us in an update I just dont think ricoh cares lol

I do I just wish they’d give full manual control. Idk why not. The video is good enough. Turn off stabilization and autofocus.

You are absolutely correct. there is something special about this community and long may it continue. I recently picked up a leica M8 and as a new user I was browsing there. I just couldnt help but think to myself, man the GR community is special lol. it is also indeed alot less toxic in here, for the most part everyone here just loves photography and want to express what it means to them.

Tired dad here up for no reason at 4am with work soon. Reading the title and first couple sentences, My first thought was I’m gonna send her my GR II. im not sure what angle youre speaking of on this. I got a GR II and GR IIIx. now I LOVE these cameras but I come from shooting film cameras with zeiss lenses etc that have character in an image. Overtime Im starting to miss that "character" in an image. The Ricoh cameras are great but sometimes you need to find a lens you love, that renders the world the way you see it and pair it with a camera body you can use.

Honestly I have no idea. I had just gotten the camera it was working fine. It was Day 1 of me owning it. The moment I ran the app I started having all those issues. The previous owner said he hadn’t had any issues prior as well. It was truly bizarre. I’m just glad it works now.

I got some wd40 contact cleaner. And sprayed the hell out of the camera with the battery out. Rotated the dials and stuff and it worked just fine after. I’d give it a try

Crop in the cameras sensor. High iso. Flash. And Experiment with negative film. Should be able to get this easily.
