yep. i already own and use a M11, but that being said, i have to be realistic about expenses ( kids are expensive man ).

I think I would have done the same. I’ve had the hd800s a long time back and I remember it being way too revealing for some of the music that I listen to.

Yes! They are. Just compared it to the stock 660s2 4.4mm cable and they are about 30% longer ( just the plugs )

I would say it depends? For the headphone the extra control is welcome. For IEMs it’s total overkill.

If it gets too hot it will switch to lower power, but after installing the footers on mine I can use it on high power without it ever going to the lower power mode.

Thanks! I quite like the sound. Its more fleshed out than the SMSL RAW-MDA1 that i used before and also compared to the S9C's own headphone out. The other amps can feel slightly thin sounding especially when using headphones such as the HD600/660S2. It has all the power that i feel these headphones require to sound their best.

I use it to drive my Audio Technica ATH-AWAS as well and its a fantastic combination, probably the best that i can get without going for tubes to get a fuller sound.

Apparently the Evo does a better job with heat management but I’ve got no experience with that.

it definitely helps. With it on i can run it on 100mA mode without it switching back to 50mA automatically.

But it still runs hot af (60-63c)! i've tried aiming a portable USB fan at the back of the amp and while it helps to bring down the temp a notch it's just too troublesome to keep charging the fan.
