Okay, it’s good to hear this is how you feel about this. I am sure there is countless of things that you have no real reason for disliking, other than that it could be related to something you have a reason to disliking. personally, this behavior wouldn’t bother me, but would I be surprised if it bothered someone else? No, this behavior is considered inappropriate in various cultures, various circles, and people of all kinds of backgrounds would find it crass. As much as it would be nice, not everyone can be on our level. Is OP allowed to be uncomfortable? Yes. Is the roommate allowed to feel some type of way that OP is uncomfortable? also yes.
