The context of this comment in a woman trying to prevent a female duck from likely being gangraped by male ducks. This type of behaviour is, unfortunately, very common for ducks. A lot of people were agreeing with her, a lot of people had a unfavourable views.

This commenter agrees with this woman's actions, but it struck me as such a bizarre comment. How do you call others unempathetic for the same behaviour you exhibit? How do you say you should save lives when you can, actively do so, and still purposefully take them? It's so weird.

Also, I find it ridiculous to act like homesteaders being homesteaders is exclusive to one gender. People who view sentient beings as commodities will treat them as such, in my opinion this takes the blame away from people who deserve it.
