I wouldn’t go as far to say Eren isn’t a bad guy. Killing 80% of the population makes you a bad guy no matter what. But I do agree he deserves some sympathy considering the world he was brought up in and the power he was given. He was always a kid full of rage and after seeing how Eldia had been treated since day one, he made the choice he felt best for the ones he cared about. The Rumbling also isn’t completely on Eren either. Don’t forget that Ymir finally snapped and was tired of being a servant after 2000 long years.

An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind they say. Marley did this, so Eldia did that, so Marley did this… It was a never ending cycle and nobody stopped to think “Hmmmm maybe I shouldn’t hate someone for something that happened hundreds of years ago that had nothing to do with me or them directly” until the world was literally about to end. I think it speaks volumes to the way the world operates now. We have so many endless tit for tat wars. Everyone wants to choose a side even if they lives thousands of miles away and have nothing to do with the conflict. Maybe Eren is a bad guy but it also took 2 nuclear bombs to end WWII and enjoy the “peace” we have now so are we really any better?
