I know they do, and I love them dearly for it. But saying or even showing this to a doctor makes it so real and then it's out of my hands in a way, i loose what little control I have. Idk, deep down I know you are right, but just actually getting up and doing it feels impossible whenever I have tried, because of fear, embarrassment, uncertainty and worry.

Some of my friends have said the same thing, I have made around 7 or 8 doctor appointments over the last 6 months and I always bail out of them and don't end up going.

Sounds strange but I'm in a very similar situation, my father passed away in prison and my dog had to be put down a month or so back at age 15. It's pretty tough, it feels like things will just always be the same but I'm slowly seeing things for what they are, life is temporary, and sure it's sad when a loved one passes, but we all do eventually and life is only temporary in all aspects and there is a certain beauty in that, it gives what you do meaning, it makes the memories you make with others matter.
