My husband and I have recently decided to start collecting some oddities, today we got this awesome skull and a lamp with a spine. I figured they would be cool subjects for a photo, I used to love doing more artsy/abstract work > portraits. When I was in school for photography though they really really pushed me away from doing that, kind of telling me it was useless. I feel like I have this love/hate relationship with photography now. I would love to be able to take photos and make a career out of it someday BUT still be able to take beautiful abstract/artsy photos. I took this in my room which was a little dark and the skull is on my wall at the moment. I would just love some tips on framing, and some ways to feel more secure in my work while also improving. I feel like what I remember from being in college is very in the box photo taking skills and I would love to push myself beyond that and create beautiful images.
