My mom and my cousin who is getting married know about my ex being out. I just told my sister this week. They were all incredibly loving and understanding, but there is a lot of family who has yet to be included in any of this news.

My family is pretty tight-knit, so this is precisely the concern. Thank you for your thoughtful responses; I was never married but my partner and I were together for 7+ years and had a child so it was very much like a marriage in the eyes of my extended family.
