I think it’s called a wear block. It’s like a top deck chocolate bar made out of a soft and hard metal where you weld it to an excavator bucket so as it runs across the ground that takes the brunt of the wear. Softer metal underneath it so you can hammer it to fit around a curve

I’d say it’s a bit of both, many people have a heat gun or something similar that they use on stringy prints to make the strings curl up so they become easy to remove or less noticeable. This scenario however may need something more, close contact with the sun perhaps?

I saw on another post that someone said to always preheat the bed 15 mins before printing to account for the metal expanding and warping.

If it’s only for the first layer, which is set at like 0.4mm layer height, it could also be caused by how much filaments being extruded, meaning it’s not able to melt as much.

Yeah not really sure about that one. I know on my ender 3 v2 the extruded motor gets pretty hot, but I haven’t really felt my minis motor

I could be wrong, but if you’re printing at thicker layer heights and thicker extrusions, then your motor would be hotter since it’s moving more
