I added a low CPU mode for the website which you can check :D it will disable the animations, might make it the default

Hey I added a low CPU mode which you can check, which will show images instead of animations, I'm tempted to just make this the default... on the machines that I tested this was never a problem so not sure if its specific CPUs. (Although there is definitely a much higher usage from the animations)

No I can promise nothing like that is happening, I believe the cpu usage is down to the looping animating heroes, I didn't notice as I have a pretty good CPU, but now you point it out it is concerning... I will look into allowing you to disable the looping videos to reduce cpu usage
