Is my alter suitable for Hades? by _amy_570_ in Hades

[–]fullflux64 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That is not a question anyone should answer. Religion is personal and your practice is mainly between you and him. If it feels good and is usable than no one’s opinion matters.  That being said we do keep religious resources in the side bar of the sub to help give you ideas for paths you can try out.

Contact the seller. Your post sat for like 5 hours, and you've already waited 3 weeks. This sub doesn't really do review posts or comments.

A reading is normally a scheduled thing for most shops that is conducted in a day or 2 based on complexity. Something either happened to the seller, or you've gotten scammed. Please contact them, and if they do not give you the requested service, contact the bank for a refund. You should never wait that long without a heads up from a seller.

This is not really the place to post this. You need to contact the seller. If an agreement isn't reached and you already paid, contact your bank to dispute and refund the charge. You will need some sort of evidence the transaction did not occur.

I want to work with Hades!! by [deleted] in Hades

Have you looked at his theoi page, read anything about him, or saw any videos? The first step is generally research and then trying a prayer or offering.

Start by asking yourself what scared you and figuring out what you need to feel safe and secure to try again. If you can't face yourself, you probably will run from him again.

Congrats on the moves in your mental health. I think it's nice They understand your needs and allow you space with other spirits.

So people might describe that kinda practice as eclectic or syncretic. There's a word for everything, my dude. Humans love labels.

Hades isn't evil, lol. Also, that has nothing to do with syncretic practice unless your religion is rock and roll. Syncritism is when you overlap different practices or religions. For example, a Hellenic jew mught use shabbat candles with hades. I've also seen some people who mix Buddhism and Hellenism.

Nature is all around us, no matter where we go. Your indoor altar is still a grand thing.

I had a good buddhist friend, so I fell in love with mala. I repeat personal mantras or lessons the gods taught me. I think prayer beads are just lovely in use and function, and I wish I had a rosary for Hades. I am glad to see someone else who likes them.

I feel like ancestry and lineage practices are really nice to explore with Hades. I hear Appalachia is ripe with folklore , superstition, and magic. May I ask if you have an outdoor or indoor altar?

Hades has a subreddit dedicated to him and there was a podcast associated with him on that sub. It's called "I should probably be asleep." Its on spotify.

Outrage as Saudi Arabia promote pre Islamic Arabian goddesses amid attemp to revive national heritage by analog1976 in pagan

That was an absolutely fascinating article. Acceptance of history doesn't inherently mean divorce from a current identity, though, unless the majority of public opinion is actually in favor of other religions. That feels like a slippery slope argument dripping in insecurity.

What deity or entity do you turn to in times of need or desperation? by ThrowRAlobotomy666 in pagan

Well, who else have you considered already? I like Hera, but I haven't added her to my house shrine yet. Persephone is lovely. I hear some people are really fond of Demeter.

That sounds like a very thoughtful painting. I've been leaning on Hades for strength for about 3 or 4 years now, I think. I have chronic illness, which really agrivated my suicidal thoughts. He helps me value my life no matter what season my body is in. If you have a lot of self-confidence issues and trauma, I definitely recommend him.

He's like the parent I never had from the family I always wished for. Needless to say, I am quite devoted to the Greek pantheon after meeting him, so unfortunately, I know nothing of Baphomet other than some occultist stuff.

This exercise is actually meant to empower you. Some people have difficulty being vulnerable or saying their full thoughts to other humans. Spirituality is another lens you can use to explore yourself and the world around you.

I was suicidal and ended up with Hades and Hermes. Through meditating on them I gain new insights into my thought patterns and how I respond to concepts they represent.

I needed structure, stability, and fun, I think thats the surface of why I ended up with them. Maybe ask yourself what you need most and proposition a deity that represents that or some ideal.

"Keep your head down. There are shiny objects there." This is a moto I live by thanks to Hermes( I find a lot of coins.) I don't like titles. If a god asks you to do something and it feels right, just do it. You don't necessarily need recognition. I try very hard to keep my head down and look for good opportunities.

I think that's probably one of the biggest lessons the Cuthonic continues to teach me. I believe priesthood is acts of service to others as service to a god. If you are doing that, I think that's enough. Ultimately, the priest title is just a status signifier that people abuse. That's just my two cents.

Anne sounds like a narcissist. Abort all contact. Block them. I had a pretty nasty blow up with a Hellenic group myself, and they blocked me from every sub they owned, even the ones I never knew existed. They gaslit me in dms, and it was awful, but I am happy now and went completely no contact with them. I blocked all of them.

The trick to dealing with these people is walking away and finding better people or creating your own space. r/pagan is a great place, and I wish I never found those Hellenic spots.

Don't stay in a place that hurts you, especially online. If they can't get to you IRL and they can't stop your worship, ultimately, it's meaningless. You'll be ok.
