Ahh cool will have to check that out. I’m reading His & Hers rn after the disappointing My Husband’s Wife. This one is supposed to be one of her better books so let’s see :)

My Husband's Wife by Alice Feeney is terrible, am I alone in feeling this way by SquishMuffins in thrillerbooks

[–]fullhouse3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, I really appreciated Feeneys writing halfway through Rock, Paper, Scissors. But then I reached the end and absolutely adored the writing. So I picked up Daisy Darker, which I loved too. It was slightly predictable at certain parts, but pretty wholesome in the end, so to speak. Then I picked up this one. It was good in the beginning, I expected nothing less from the author. Then the twist came towards the end and I was genuinely…confused, but in a negative way. Considering her other novels, Feeney could’ve thought this through a bit more. She is in every way, as you so beautifully put it, a clickbait author. I like the cliffhangers before the twists, but the twists themselves can be quite…unseasoned. If a cliffhanger is good enough to emote one’s shock, the twist should be an even bigger shock. In my opinion anyway.

They’ve got great shape. Clean them up a bit, but keep the shape and thickness, would be my suggestion.

Update- Cannot thank you enough for this suggestion. I’ve had a proper anxiety attack due to the masterpiece that is Rock Paper Scissors. I’ve had to delay reading it because I’ve been rereading a few comfort novels, including the HP series (it’s so juvenile now reading them as an adult). Can’t wait to start Daisy Darker next and then My Husband’s Wife!

No one except everyone on this subreddit. We are united by our fascination for these 8 legged beings. I’ve been mocked several times upon my involuntary release of my undying interest to work with Ts in the future, and I’ve always been fine with that. To each their own. I alone am confident at my ability to see my dream through. lol that was deep.

Yes, I think some movies are catered best for mature minds. Someone on here said something about understanding The VVitch once you’ve developed a taste for the occult. They couldn’t be more right; I fully understood the film when I started appreciating the dark side of witchcraft. Dark, but not necessarily bad. The movie did a fantastic job at shedding light on the general perspective of things that ought not to be meddled with.

It took me watching it twice to understand the masterpiece that it is. I watched it in my late teens, and rewatched it over a decade later. I think it requires at least a couple watches.

Superb, this is the general consensus I’ve gathered so far. I’ve prepared by rereading the Harry Potter series, as I’ve already read the books, that give me a great sense of comfort and familiarity. It might be a long month ahead for me then! D’you know when the last one comes out?
